The Required Charger Voltage is Higher than Your Scooter or Ebike Battery Voltage and the Charger Current is Lower than Your Battery Current.
For Example : A 42V 2A Charger is Required for a 36V 7A Scooter or Ebike Battery and a 54.6V 2A Charger is required for a 48V 15A Ebike or Scooter Battery.

Not Much difference. Your Eride Charger was accquired from a Charger Supplier, branded and Bundled With Your New Scooter or Ebike.
The Same Charger Supplier Sells the Same Charger to other Edbike /Scooter Vendors Unbranded.
Another Factor is Price and Availability.
Many Eride Vendors dont carry Replacement Chargers.
The Few Branded Vendors Replacement Chargers are Pricey and Rarely Readily Available.
